“Definitely his best work of this decade (especially if he fixes circles), but still not the previous heights he’s hit. I think unlike TLOP and Donda, which are bloated messes yet have some of his best songs ever (Saint Pablo, NMPILA, Come To Life, LOTP), this album is wayyy more well rounded but it’s tough to say if it’s better than TLOP because there’s nothing on that GOAT tier level. Good album tho, Ye looks to be getting back to normal. One of my biggest gripes with this album though (besides the moments of potato quality which might actually be remnants of AI, cuz he’s definitely removed a lot of it) is that everything is soooooo short. King is one of his best performances in years but we only get 90 seconds of actual rapping (not complaining the beat is fucking sick) and a lot of others feel like they could do with more time. Some songs could do with not existing! This a must sounds like you trained an AI to make a yeezus song, it’s ass. White Lines sampling close to you actually made me start laughing when I first heard it, it’s not even that bad but it’s just so unexpected lmao. Circles is terrible. The sample is good, but Don Tolliver sounds like he’s drowning and the hook sounds bizarre. Also what’s the point of a 90 second feature? Songs ranked by me Top Tier: 1.
