Exile In Guyville (2018 Remaster)

Liz Phair

I genuinely could write an essay about every track off this album. Liz Phair is top tier song writer. You either get it or you don’t, but like how could you not get it. Top tracks (but they are all bangers): Divorce Song “And the license said you had to stick around until I was dead, but if you’re tired of looking at my face, I guess I already am. But you’ve never been a waste of my time” “I would have stayed in your bed for the rest of my life just to prove I was right; that it’s harder to be friends than lovers, and you shouldn’t try to mix the two, cause if you do it and you’re still unhappy, than you know that the problem is you” Dance of the Seven Veils “I only ask because I’m a real cunt in spring. You could rent me by the hour” “Makes me wanna roll you up in plastic. Toss you up and pump you full of led” Fuck and Run “And whatever happened to a boyfriend? The kind of guy who makes love cause he’s in it” “I can feel it in my bones I’m gonna spend my whole life alone. It’s fuck and run” Flowers “I want to be your blowjob queen” Fucking perfect. Lizzzzzzzz fuckin Phairrrrrrrr

Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?

of Montreal

Maybe my favorite album of all time, and it’s always been that way. My favorite album to listen to from beginning to end. Heimdalsgate Like A Promethean Curse was my most listened to song all of middle school, only Kevin understood my chemical imbalance. Love its upbeat religious and spiritual introspection. An existential crisis has never been so damn catchy.

Violent Femmes

I will make an electro pop cover album of this.
