Mac Miller

“Faces is a Mac project I didn’t “get” for a long time, but it didn’t stop me from revisiting it over and over. Recently it clicked for me that this is such a pure expression of following one’s own creative current, with straight-up defiance of any learned creative inhibition. Pervasive themes of drug addiction and mental health struggles interwoven with Mac’s clever, off-the-wall poetry in this project. Probably my favorite work of his. “A shame that my tragedy, my masterpiece.””
