Slightly better than mid. It had been so long since Turnover released new music that I had to go back and revisit their older records just to remind myself what made me love this band in the first place. Unfortunately, very few moments on this record made me think, “Ah, yes, this is Turnover.” More often than not, I found myself wondering what he even said. The chokehold this band had on me throughout my 20s is still very much alive in my 30s, it’s just not because of this record.
