the take
Extremely good and carefully made. Only worth listening if you listen to it in one hit. This music is certainly not for everyone, I imagine most of my mates would dislike this. It’s genuinely like an audio movie. The themes that come out of it are amazing and very clear. Descriptions around loneliness, depression, messy relationships, feminism, and the reality of life are all very powerful messages. As someone who hasn’t really been a major Raye fan, this is a sensational album and I am blown away by the creativity and performance. Overarching jazz, classical, and house vibes. Absolutely loved it!
