i wrote a #serious review for this one also zara’s vocal performance on this project is as stunning as it always has been, but midnight sun’s personal lyricism, distinct sound, and cohesive theme let her voice shine in a way it never could on her previous works. it is so satisfying seeing such an exceptional performer finally stick the landing. this album has no skips for me— all the songs are so dynamic that it’s impossible to get bored. the production is lush, the vocals are stacked, and the writing is utter pop brilliance. every element paints the picture so well that, even in december, midnight sun can make me feel a little bit of summer warmth. fave tracks: hot & sexy, girl’s girl least fave: the ambition
