Nothing Happens

Wallows

the take

turned this album on after seeing a song that i had not previously listened to on it from a nostalgia core tiktok, do not wait. i decided to listen to the album from the beginning and was immediately transformed in to 2019 summer. this album defines the optimistic and aesthetic years gen z experienced pre-covid; this so-called “our generation’s 80’s”. the songs on this album range from wanting to sob from remembering a better time to wanting to blast your speakers with your windows down. in 2019/2020 i had only listened to some of the songs from the album (sorry, i didn’t have spotify premium), but upon reflection of the entire album, it is truly iconic, catchy, and defining. my favorites: only friend scrawny i’m full do not wait
