the take
This is yet another great album to come out in the year 1967. It’s full of catchy psych-rock songs with some blues influence as well. I like the male vocalists, but when Grace Slick opened her mouth, I was blown away. She was under-utilized vocally in my opinion, and I was a bit sad to only hear her on the hits Somebody To Love and White Rabbit, along with Go to Her. Still, Surrealistic Pillow is an overall enjoyable album which helped further define the mid to late 60s.
