the take
As always with Lewis Capaldi’s music, this album is full of powerful vocals, really emotional, sometimes sad sometimes hopeful lyrics, and almost cinematic instrumentation in a few songs with strings and deep bass. The songs tell a story of determination, of vulnerability, and of painful acceptance, ideas which are told and felt by the sorrowful piano and chilling vocal stacking throughout the music.
