the take
The kind of album that makes me wish I knew how to skateboard. This style of fuzzy emo rock isn't anything too inventive, but it doesn't need to be when it's executed this well. Reading along to the lyrics is a must here, as the vocals tend to get drowned out, especially in the first half. There's a lot of heart to this release, with tracks about universal themes like identity, insecurity, and longing. Then we have the final instrumental that is absolutely harrowing, showing how important it is to connect with people before it's too late.
