the take
Admittedly, I'm not that tapped in into Ransom's music all too much, though I did enjoy his "Cabrini Green Project" album that I listened to earlier this year. That alone, plus seeing Conductor Williams' name attached, may be why I was more eager to check out "The Uncomfortable Truth" sooner than later. Naturally, I expected nothing less of Ransom with his lyrical rapping ability and he lived up to expectations easily. The way he managed to capture my interest damn near the entire time because of him preaching that real is intriguing to me. Conductor Williams, on the other hand, absolutely did his thing with his production (as expected, of course). Other than Conductor's beats overshadowing Ransom a bit at times ("BOMAYE", for example), the magic they create when in sync with each other 100% is evident. Hell, just look at "BLOOD STAINS ON COLISEUM FLOORS", "THE HUMAN ANIMAL", and my instant go-to favorite and too-early-to-tell-borderline-classic "FLOWERS & TOMBSTONES" to see peak magic between the two. Is it too soon to ask for these two to run it back for a sequel? Because I didn't think I'd be as impressed with this as much as I truthfully am. Great collab project between the two.
