the take
It's all very Taylor Swift-esque, and it feels as if it robs a little from the country-pop from Cate's earlier songs and EPs. There's moments of interesting jangle-pop that's right out of the C86 playbook - which stood out alongside some disappointing pop. There's a bit where she name drops Maisie Peters (they lived together/were close friends before she moved to Nashville), and all it does is remind you that there's artists that do this a little bit better.
