the take
I wasn't familiar with the band Gogol Bordello before today, but I'm really pleased with the discovery! They mix punk with a multitude of other genres, making each song a unique and punchy collage. The energy is consistent throughout the entire album. Add intelligent socio-political lyricism and you get a collection of songs that feels immensely relevant in 2026. After this listen, it's clear I'll be checking out their earlier projects.
