the take
this album is genuinely amazing, but a leap of faith to finish NO ONE knows about this album. they may have heard the most popular song off of it, “i don’t care,” but none of the others. it’s genuinely a masterpiece from start to finish. if you’re not already a fall out boy fan it might be a little jarring, but you’ll learn to love it. it’s very interconnected, like for example parts of “what a catch” are on “she’s my winona.” it has a range of songs from exciting and peppy to slow and introspective, but all of them manage to have a deep meaning that will invoke thought if you listen to the lyrics. despite it being different from lots of music and also from fall out boy itself’s older discography, it is amazing and will make you think.
