the take
Engelbert’s “Miracles” represents an interesting time in his career. It was his first album after the smash-hit that was “After The Lovin’” in 1976, and it was just before his new refined style and look in 1978. Notably his last album with the sideburns, “Miracles” seems to have been overshadowed by the success of his previous album, though the music is just as excellent as the rest of his discography. In fact, this album features several of his most exceptional tracks vocally, such as “What I Did For Love”, “I Believe In Miracles”, and a more groovy, exciting “Peace Of Mind”.
