Getting Killed

Geese

the take

I have mixed reviews about this album as it has great moments, but I was first introduced this band as one with “tight musicianship“ now in my book that means something very different to me than what it meant to this person who introduced the band to me now his parents that these players have been playing together for quite some time, but I still wouldn’t describe them as killers in this in that sense. To me this seems like the logical Rein carnation of a Neutral Milk Hotel style true to form alternative band not one that breaks the bank, but they kind of reinvent the wheel so to speak in a weird avant-garde way they’re popularity is confusing to me. It seems as though they share more common with the strokes in their overall demeanor and vibe very New York in that sense, and it seems that they play a towards that vocally Cameron Winters reminds me of a next generation crooner will call him an Indie crooner for now and I don’t necessarily love the timbre of his vocal. It’s a lot of vibrato, but hey Bruce Dickinson Nole has wild Verrado so maybe it’s just where it sits in the lazy delivery, not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s just what how i hear it is.
