Going into this record, I'll be upfront: ABBA is essentially the full extent of my disco knowledge, so I came in with fresh ears and few reference points. This wasn't an album that grabbed me immediately — it was a grower, where certain songs pulled me in right away while others never fully landed. That said, the album feels cohesive. There's a consistent mood running through it — relaxed and unhurried for the most part, though tracks like "American Girls" show Harry isn't afraid to swing for something bigger and more immediate. It's easily the most pop-forward moment on the record, with an energy that almost feels like a callback to his One Direction days. "Dance No More," on the other hand, leans fully into disco — it's the track that finally lets loose and delivers on the album's title in a way nothing else quite does. For a record with disco in the title, I felt like some of that energy and urge to actually get up and move was missing at times. Still, there's enough here that I'll find myself coming back to it — and sometimes that's all an album needs to be.
