I am 100% biased to flatland but I really love the sound of this album. Cletos writing and ability to get you emotional still holds true in some songs while still having a good mix of lighthearted fun tracks as well like “All or Nothing”. Already knew this album was going to be good from the 4 singles released prior but the others held their weight. “Birds Eye View” “Life Love and Happiness” and “Long Goodnight” were instant favorites of mine and others will grow on me as I continue to listen. Easy on the ears and Heavy on the heart still hold true for Lubbock’s own. [After more listens some of the songs aren’t as lyrically deep as cleto has written before , relying heavily on catchy hooks and choruses, hence the drop in rating. But at times in past albums where some songs have had so much lyrically it doesn’t sound great on a record, this time I think they played it safe which isn’t inherently bad. These songs are still good and I will still keep them on repeat until im sick of them]
