24HRS In TOKYO

MadeinTYO

the take

While I agree that MadeinTYO & 24hrs' first collab project is a bit overhated, it's STILL mid, though. For a project that's only a bit over twelve minutes, it's a breeze to get through. The production is actually not bad on here, though it's clear that it's a product of its time (2016). 24hrs and MadeinTYO are brothers, so this project made sense. I've been checking out 24hrs since his "Open" EP from 2016 and enjoyed that project (at the time, obviously). Both artists were actually underwhelming, unfortunately. TYO wasn't up to his game the entire time with his lyricism (kind of), but both his vibes and flow are still evident from him. Aside from the beats, TYO was the best thing that attempted to keep the project afloat. 24hrs, on the other hand, is average at best and annoying at worst, being inconsistent throughout. 24hrs' use of Auto-Tune does become too much for me to tolerate after a while, thus making me lean more toward MadeinTYO for saving each track. The EP brings back the nostalgia for me a bit in terms of its sound, but there might be a reason why I only played this either once or twice after downloading all those years ago.
