the take
I can’t believe that I have never heard of this album until I found it by accident on Spotify. This album is one of the truest examples of failures in marketing that I have ever seen. This album is a true triphop classic, that deserves to be recognized with the giants of its time. There’s little reason that it shouldn’t be as known as its counterparts. This album has Ambient pop reminiscent of Madonna’s Ray of Light, accompanied with Jazzy instrumentals and drum tracks reminiscent of Portishead. This album rips. It’s sound is utterly genius and it rides that sound throughout the whole album. Technologic sounds, haunting, sometimes inhuman vocals, it’s a real trip. While the album lacks an all-time classic track, which might be why it’s so unknown, the album has no skips from start to finish. Every song on this album is enjoyable. Even the bonus track that you have to wait 5 minutes for. I 100% recommend to anyone to give this album a listen
