I’m on a mission to listen to as many artists that are performing at Kilby Block Party as I can. So far I’m doing terrible apart from the artists I already love, but I think this album was a great place to start! It’s clear that they were heavily influenced by The Police on this record. I’m not familiar with their other work but I understand it’s more metal. Andy Summers is my favorite guitarist so I loved hearing his influence! The intros to SEEIN’ STARS and When The World Is Running Down, You Make The Best Of What’s Still Around by The Police are damn near copy paste. Also Hayley Williams singing backing vocals on it brings it to gold status for me. Since they’ll both be at Kilby I’m hoping they bring her out for that performance! I would be able to die happy.
