the take
Engelbert Humperdinck is one of the greatest performers of the 70s. The consistency of his vocals, his body language, and his ability to fluidly communicate with the crowd and his band creates for an excellent live experience, both in the room then and in our ears now. This live album was recorded during the height of his career in 1975 during one of his most successful tours ever. He took a similar setlist and band with him across the world, from Bermuda to London to Japan, singing a mix of his older and current hits along with a few other popular songs of the time. A few notable tracks include “All I Ever Need Is You”, “Without You”, “Love Is All”, and, of course, his big finisher, “Release Me”.
