the take
I truly am fearful for anyone that has this in their daily rotation. You can almost choke on the evil smoke exuding from this album. A Goya painting has more hope than this album. With that in mind… this rips. Like I said it should probably not be a daily listen but it is heavy dark and damned. The tones extracted from a Les Paul and 8 amps (probably) need to be studied. A sonic spectral sound unlike anything I have ever heard before. This is the logical extreme of heavy music. Not technical in the slightest but equally demanding in terms of playability. Riding those heavy notes like a giant sand worm on dune.
