The 80s thing may be overdone at this point, but that rule does not apply to Brent Faiyaz. This album is silky smooth on its vocals and punchy with its almost hypnotic production. The amount of bump each track has is insane. I think there are some pacing issues that hold this album back slightly but songs where Faiyaz leans into that 80s synth and energy he excels. Tracks like pure fantasy and other side are among some of his best in his career. Best tracks: have to, other side, world is yours, pure fantasy
