Emerging in 2009 with the Mercury Prize-nominated Sigh No More, Mumford & Sons found international success with the releases of subsequent efforts Babel (2012), Wilder Mind (2015), and Delta (2018), all of which reached number one on the Billboard 200. In 2020, Mumford teamed up with composer Tom Howe to provide the score and theme song for the American sports comedy-drama TV series Ted Lasso. The soundtrack for the second season the program, Ted Lasso: Season 2, appeared in 2021. Mumford issued his first solo album, the cheekily named (self-titled), the following year.
