CHROMAKOPIA
“I mean, its a Tyler album, so its great. It's not his best, its not my favorite, but it definitely has a lot of standouts and is definitely his most emotional album. Like Him is definitely one of his best tracks, right next to NEW MAGIC WAND off of IGOR. Balloon and Sticky are great songs, and I love I Killed You just for the fact its a song about black hair (and it is a banger) however, I could deal without Judge Judy, and some of these songs are a bit forgettable. However, the stand outs REALLY stand out.”

CHROMAKOPIA
“When I first pressed play on Chromakopia, I was immediately struck by how it defies simple categorization. This is an album that operates on multiple planes at once: sonically, emotionally, and conceptually. From the first shimmering notes to the closing, almost meditative silence, it feels like stepping into a world meticulously constructed yet effortlessly alive. It is rare that an album earns a 10/10 from me, but Chromakopia is exactly the kind of work that deserves such unreserved admiration. What sets Chromakopia apart is its mastery of atmosphere. There is a clarity to its production that makes every sound feel like it has a specific purpose, yet the whole never comes across as clinical. The textures here are lush but never overbearing, rich without being dense. From the crystalline synth lines to the whispering percussion, every element feels carefully placed to create a sense of expansiveness. Listening to the album feels like floating through a kaleidoscope of sound—colors shift subtly but perceptibly, drawing you deeper into the sonic landscape with every passing second. The compositional skill on display is staggering. Each track seems to balance the line between structure and improvisation. There is a tension throughout the album that keeps the listener engaged: patterns emerge and collapse in ways that feel both inevitable and surprising. The melodies themselves are often understated but unforgettable; they linger in your mind long after the album has ended. Even tracks that might initially feel like background ambiance reveal intricate layers upon closer listening. Chromakopia rewards attention, but it also works as an immersive environment for casual listening—an album that is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally resonant. One of the most remarkable qualities of Chromakopia is its emotional range. It is not content to dwell in a single mood or register. There are moments of quiet introspection that evoke a sense of solitude and contempla”

DON'T TAP THE GLASS
“I liked some songs for this project of Tyler’s but it wasn’t great. Yes it brought some 2000s heavy beats and instrumental that you would hear at a club but idk some songs just didn’t click. Still good songs in this album tho.”

DON'T TAP THE GLASS
“Tyler, The Creator always seems to impress me whenever he evolves musically, especially with me being a supporter of his since the "OF Tape Vol. 2" days. I thoroughly enjoyed introspective Tyler on "CHROMAKOPIA", with a part of me being really excited to see if he continues that trend of music. But then I quickly remembered that Tyler's gonna do what he wants, which in this case happens to be an album that just focuses on the listener needing to dance. Let me just say that "DON'T TAP THE GLASS" is far from Tyler's best work. Hell, I may see this as a decline from "CHROMAKOPIA". But shit, I'd be lying if I didn't say that this isn't a fun album to vibe out to. While listening to this, I couldn't help but get those "Cherry Bomb" vibes mixed in with those from Tyler's "IGOR" in terms of the route he went with on the production side of things at certain points on here. I'm part of the minority who's always actually enjoyed the former, so this was welcoming for me to see him improve on that sound. ("Stop Playing with Me" is such a banger.) On other portions of "DTTG", Tyler continues his melodic side with songs like "Sugar on My Tongue" and "Ring Ring Ring", while at the same time (in)directly calling back to the grooves of 80's R&B songs. Whenever I hear "Ring Ring Ring", I kind of compare it to "Saturday Love" by Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal, which makes sense when you really think about it. It's not Tyler's strongest album, but "DON'T TAP THE GLASS" shouldn't be seen as a 100% serious album. It's one that's supposed to make the listener move and get their groove on. For me, this does just that for me.”

CHROMAKOPIA +
“This review is really on "Mother", as my opinion on the album as a whole is still the same. That said, while I feel this kind of ruins how I view the album simply in terms of listening flow, this is still a great track that I'm glad finally reached its way to streaming. I know people think this reissue is a cash grab, and while that's true... doesn't every other artist do the same thing with their albums? I mean, shit... at least the song fits within the album's theme. I don't know. Me, I enjoyed "Mother" and I have an another reason to revisit "CHROMAKOPIA" again.”

“Tyler’s distinct style is always showing on his projects. His lyricism and story telling are superb on this and many song have the catchiness and thematic sound to boot. Great record Bangers: Rah Tah Tah, Noid, Hey Jane, Sticky, Take Your Mask Off, Balloon Hangers: Tomorrow”
