Puppy Angst is a gazy dreamy fuzz pop band from Philadelphia started by Alyssa Milman (guitar, vocals). Alyssa’s songwriting combines raw, diary-like lyricism colored by the biting introspection of adulthood with shoegaze & dream pop influences, resulting in tracks that tell a noisy & unapologetic coming-of-age story. Dan Leinweber (guitar, vocals), John Heywood (bass), & Eric Naroden (drums) round out the rest of the band. As of February 2023, Pauli Mia has joined on synth & backing vocals. On October 24th, 2022 Puppy Angst released their debut full-length album Scorpio Season with three singles leading up to its release. Following the release, they toured to SXSW 2023 as an official artist for Force Field PR & Fire Talk Records. On May 26th, 2023, Puppy Angst released TKO, a one-off single for Open Tab Online by Fire Talk Records. Their work has been played on stations like WXPN, CD 92.9 FM, KXLU, WKDU, etc. They’ve been covered by Paste Magazine, WXPN, & Queerty, among other publications. Alyssa previously toured with Kississippi; their past projects include Past Life & Blushed.
