Stereophonic is an independent hip hop group hailing from Lewisburg, West Virginia. They love to express their Appalachian culture in their art. The group consists of three core members: Abstract Inspector, Reece Rowan, and benjamin., who are best friends and have been writing music together for over 4 years. Their goal is to use their art to create positivity and high energy for their listeners. Stereophonic has a sound that has been compared to the likes of the Beastie Boys, the Wu-Tang Clan, and Kendrick Lamar. Stereophonic has performed all over their home state in various cities and venues. They have also had shows at Healing Appalachia, the Mountain Music Festival, and the Rails & Ales Music Festival in Huntington. Stereophonic’s debut self-titled album was released in late 2021 with fan favorites such as Knock It, Early Dayz, & I Mean. Shortly after the release of ‘Stereophonic’ the group released their single Poor, Illiterate, and Strung Out (Bette Midler Diss), tackling the issues of West Virginian and Appalachian stereotypes addressed in Bette Midler’s infamous tweet about the Mountain State. In the late Summer of 2022, Stereophonic dropped their most popular song Mars, gaining 1,500 streams the first day it was released. The group has recently released UNDER THE WEATHER!, a single full of funk, soul, and old-school hip hop inspiration and Deth Jam, an energetic, Beastie Boys inspired track. Stereophonic is gearing up to release their newest album in late 2024!
