the take
By this point, I kind of already got the vibe that the group was nearing its end. The consistency that DEVILISH TRIO showcased earlier in their career has since but vanished. To me, it seemed like Baker and Hydra were on the same page less frequently, and is evident as such on songs like "Dying to Live" and "Reprimand". As for Tenngage, I'm more a fan of his slower-tempo songs like "The Sheep Look Up", as that sound and speed really fits the group better. The overall production on this EP isn't terrible, but it's a bit underwhelming as a whole. Decent short project, but definitely one of the weakest, if not the weakest they've released.
