It’s one of the most surprising rap records I’ve heard in a long time. Danny Brown effortlessly integrates his style with JPEG’s production. A fun fact was that the entire project was produced on a Roland SP-404SX. Mind you, using an older piece of hardware can already prove to be a challenge, but using it for a whole album is beyond impressive. The album continues to blow me away after every listen and still remains in my rotation.
