Lorde

Lorde’s best album. It will get you though heartbreak and introduce you to new love. The anthem of everyone young 20 something year old. Listening to this album is a must and a right of passage.

This Wasn't Meant For You Anyway

Lola Young

Unlike why the album title might make you think, this album was meant for me. 0 skips even the outro voice note feels fitting. Lola explores so many emotions on this album from the flirtation of big brown eyes, to the soft vulnerability of you noticed, to the wrath, all the way to harsher tracks like Conceited and I Wish You Were Dead. I am seated for it all. The production on this album matches Lola’s messy and chaotic lyrics. Her vocal add a layer and emotion that just makes you want to listen and sing along in your own exaggerated camp way. This album overall is a great listen. I am constantly throwing it on.

Man’s Best Friend

Sabrina Carpenter

Not a complete departure from short and sweet. Instead this album builds off of the foundation and sounds she established. I enjoy the country twang in songs like man child, but I think this is where her flirtation with country should end. I think her other tracks that dig into other sounds like post-disco, with House Tour, and R&B influence, with When Did You Get Hot?, are stronger and fit Sabrina’s fun flirty vibe. Overall a solid record.
